Visit the Memphis Botanic Garden For Over 90 Acres of Activities!

    Welcome back to Memphis Revealed!

Today we are checking out 96 acres with over 31 gardens. The Memphis Botanic Garden is full of flowers, plants, and playgrounds. Another thing we loved about the botanic garden was the beautiful, tall fountains. The one you encounter right at the entrance is surrounded by shade so it’s the perfect place to relax and cool off.

Another cool spot is the Pine Garden which has a huge, shaded picnic area. You can walk around the gardens and then pack a snack. The Pine Garden is the perfect spot to stop for a break.

You also have to check out the Japanese Garden. There is a pond which the garden centers around. The pond is filled with koi, circled by bamboo, and crisscrossed by a neat red bridge. The bamboo provides some much-needed shade during hot Memphis summers.

In the My Big Backyard area of the botanic garden, they have flower beds filled with blooming beauties. They made the flower beds out of old headboards and bed frames which is pretty neat. Near the Big Backyard, there is a nice play area which has a large playhouse and other fun activities.

The botanic garden has events like Twilight Thursdays, Live at the Garden, and food truck fests. Being able to visit in the evening is great during the summers. I have also really liked hearing live music at the botanic garden.

I hope you enjoyed my tips for the Memphis Botanic Garden! Unfortunately, we couldn’t explore it all because the garden is really huge so there’s plenty left for you to check out with your family.
