Exploring The Best Park in Lakeland, Tennisee: International Harvester Park
Welcome to another episode of Memphis Revealed. Today, we are going to explore International Harvester Park in Lakeland, Tennessee.
I love all of the family activities International Harvester Park has to offer. The park consists of 65 acres of rolling hills. There are several spots I really want to show you.
The first stop on our tour is the Lamp Amphitheatre that was built just a few years ago. You can enjoy free concerts all summer long! Bring a picnic blanket and some snacks to enjoy the perfect summer evening. There’s even a dance floor if you’ve got your dancing shoes on.
The second stop is the International Harvester Park Managerial Building. This building has a great banquet hall inside. If you are hosting any community meetings, this is the perfect spot. The Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts convene here as do several neighborhood associations. Check out the website to get more information on cost and availability.
Finally, be sure to enjoy the three miles of biking and hiking trails that cross straight from one end of the park to the other. The trails pass right along the lake. You can take a stroll around the lake to enjoy the beautiful scenery and then continue on the trail. I personally have ridden my mountain bike around the trails and you’d be surprised at how tough some spots can be!
The pond isn’t just a scenic backdrop, it’s also a five acre fishing pond! So, if you want a little bit more action, bring your fishing rods.
The whole family will be sure to enjoy all this park has to offer from free live music to the adventurous trails. There are also over 20 picnic facilities so if you are just looking for a nice spot outdoors to enjoy your lunch, check out International Harvester Park.
